Group Travel Insurance
Your group insurance package includes travel insurance protection if you are covered by your employer’s healthcare insurance plan. If you are exempt from it (for example, because you are covered under your spouse’s healthcare insurance protection), you are not covered by your employer’s travel insurance plan.
Travel insurance is provided by Manulife (The Manufacturers Life Insurance Company). Manulife has appointed Global Excel Management as the provider of all assistance and claims services.
We strongly encourage you to carefully review your benefit booklet before traveling.
It is your responsibility to understand your coverage.
If you have an emergency, you must call Global Excel immediately before seeking treatment.
They are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

You can access your Schedule of benefits, Travel Assistance Card, and Benefits Booklet at any time directly through your Group Health portal, under the section “Documents sent to all plan members”.
TravelAid mobile app
Immediate access to the Assistance Centre is also available through its TravelAid mobile app. The TravelAid mobile app can also provide you with directions to the nearest medical facility, local emergency telephone numbers (such as 911 in North America), and pre- and post-departure travel tips.

Previously, travel insurance was offered by Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance Company of Canada (RSA). As of January 1st 2023, all RSA travel insurance activities were transferred to Manulife (The Manufacturers Life Insurance Company). Any documentation bearing RSA’s name is no longer valid.
